<p style="text-align: justify;">Per ottenere le prime immagini fotografiche negli anni venti del 1800 occorrevano lunghi tempi di esposizione alla luce.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Il miglioramento della tecnologia ha permesso di ridurre drasticamente questi tempi di esposizioni a minuti e poi a secondi. Ma nel frattempo, le lunghe esposizioni ci hanno lasciato delle inconfondibili convenzioni vittoriane, come ad esempio le posture rigide e i volti senza sorriso di persone che cercano di rimanere perfettamente immobili per alcuni minuti mentre la pellicola viene impressionata.</p>
<p>A quanto pare tenere fermi i bambini era complicato anche ai tempi, così la fotografia vittoriana accanto a quella decisamente macabra dei ritratti post morten ha sviluppato una più divertente convenzione: le madri nascoste che cercano di tenere fermi i figli affinché la foto non venga sfocata.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Questi fantastici ritratti di bambini contengono tutti la loro madre, travestita da sedia o camuffata sotto tende o panni decorativi. Riuscite ad individuare tutte le madri (e un padre)?</p>
